Forms are one of the best ways to capture leads. When you visit a website you must have found out a form which asked you to fill in your details. For example, it can be a contact form.
Now, creating a form in Getresponse is very easy and you get a lot of different customized forms that you can use on your website.
You can add a form to your website to capture leads of your customers/website visitors in exchange for a product. Also, you can create your newsletter and send it to your customers every week.

How to create a form
Go to your Getresponse dashboard and select Create form. Then you will be redirected to a page where you will have a lot of options.
- List Builder Wizard
- List Builder Apps
- Plain HTML
We will go through each option one by one.
1. List Builder Wizard
Here you will have a lot of pre-designed forms by Getresponse. When I was using it for the first time, I was amazed to see so many options. On the left side, you will find a lot of different categories which you can use according to your niche.
Select a form and then click on use template. For reference, I am going to use a free download form.
After that, you will reach its dashboard from where we will be editing our form. First, let’s get familiar with the dashboard. In the middle, you will see the form you have chosen. Then on the right side, you will find all the fields that you can add to your form. For example, first name, last name, phone number, etc.
On the top right, you will find the desktop and mobile view and the publish button.
If you want to add or remove any field then you can do that by just drag and drop. It is very easy.
After that, you need to select the publish button and then you will be asked how do you want to install the form.
There are 3 options here:
- You can email your web designer to install the form
- You can run the form on the Getresponse server.
Now to check the leads that you have collected, first, you need to assign them to your email list.

To select a list click on the settings in the top right of the screen and then here you can give your form a name and then you need to select your list and there are many other settings but are not necessary.
2. List Builder Apps
Here you have a lot of other forms as well. These are pop up forms that you can put on your website. So if a user comes to your website, he/she will get a popup. You can choose between varieties of pop up forms here.
3. Plain HTML
This is a simple plain HTML form. Anyone who wants a basic form can use this. This form does not have CSS so you can’t add any style to it.
You can integrate your form with your favourite platforms.
For this, I am going to use WordPress. If you are on any other platform, then you can search on YouTube and you will get a tutorial regarding it.
If you are a WordPress user then you need to install a plugin. Go to plugins and install the Getresponse official plugin. You can download it from here.
Now after installing the plugin you need an API key. To get an API key go to your Getresponse dashboard and from the menu select integrations and API.
Click on Generate API key. Then copy the API key and go to the Getresponse plugin and paste the API key there. Now your Getresponse is connected to your WordPress website.
